Full Body Base From Home
By QHP Training
In training, building your base means to create a solid foundation on which to build. preparing your body, your muscles, tendons and ligaments for what is to come. The better your base, the better you progress.
Full body base was written for Gemma Atkinson as the first block of training with her coach Elliot.
The purpose was to build Gemma’s body to be able to easily withstand a 5 day long trek through the Scottish Highlands, and it did just that, plus a lot more!
This is the at Home version of this programme with modifications to make sure you see the same improvements without all of the equipment!
We recommend that you have some training experience prior to starting, however all movements have links to a movement library where you will be able to view the correct techniques.
The programme is 8 weeks long, progresses in difficulty over the first 6 weeks before an intense week 7. Week 8 is a “deload” so that your body recovers and feels ready for your next block of training.
Each week is comprised of 5 sessions which will take you anywhere from 30-60 minutes to complete. Warm ups and cool downs are included as a guideline, however if you have your own routine that you like to follow then do so.
Please note that if you are uncomfortable with a movement or are unsure how to perform it correctly, seek assistance to prevent injuries and progress optimally.
NOTE:
The better your routine, the better results you will see. Try to get your sleep, nutrition and training into a consistent pattern as this will help you feel the same each and every day. We don't believe in "diets" or crazy short term results, but to create sustainable and enjoyable habits.
